Mental health issues, developmental disabilities and chemical dependency are conditions, but my charge to you today is to decide never to allow any condition to dictate how you enjoy your life. In other words, having a condition can be out of your control at times, however, what science and human resiliency have proven is that, with the right tools, mindset, and support system you can live above any condition and lead a fulfilled and enjoyable life. As an experienced Therapist, this is where I come in. You deserve a fulfilled and all-around wellness, and I’m here to support you through your journey of accomplishing your recovery.
I obtained an MSW from a reputable Canadian University. Beyond my educational & practical experience, I possess an inherent strength in bringing clarity & healing to otherwise chaotic situations. My approaches are holistic and therapeutic collaboration in the most person-centered way possible. I utilize best practices and evidence-based tools to achieve results.
Marie holds a double major in social work and disability studies and a masters in social work from the University of Windsor. She is also a certified law of attraction life coach with many years of experience assisting individuals in creating their best lives.
Marie offers life-enhancing bilingual psychotherapy and life coaching services in both English and French to individuals, couples, youth, and families looking to cope with a variety of issues including, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma family dynamics, and life transition concerns including career, divorce/separation and retirement.
Marie follows a strengths-based/client-centered philosophy of counseling, where she believes every individual has the capacity, skills, knowledge, and connections to create change. She draws on several approaches to help you reach your goals, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to name a few.
Marie’s role as a therapist is to provide you with a supportive, nurturing, non-judgmental, and safe environment to explore your personal and interpersonal strengths, overcome obstacles, enhance your relationships, and improve your mental well-being and quality of life.
